This great picture collage salutes the Tuskegee Airmen, the famous black fliers who broke the color barrier in the sky and were known as the famed Red Tails who flew the P-51 Mustang fighter planes escorting B-17s on their bombing raids over Europe. The collage features a copy of the movie poster used to publicize the feature film made based on their exploits as well as a great picture of the airmen. Highlighting the collage is the First Day Cover of the stamp issued in honor of the famed Tuskegee Airman - C. Alfred "Chief" Anderson. On the day a stamp is issued, it is only available in the city where it is issued and the Post Office certifies this by canceling the stamp “First Day of Issue” creating a very unique collectible.
