Vought OS2U Kingfisher This is a nice reproduction of an original World War Two photo showing a Vought OS2U Kingfisher Scout/Observation plane taxiing alongside its ship for recovery. The OS2U was a catapult launched seaplane that was carried by US Battleships and other large ships for scouting and to direct naval gunfire onto targets. After completing its mission it would land in the ocean and taxi next to the ship where it would be hoisted back aboard by crane. Great photo! Size of photo is about 4" x 6".
