This is a gently used, handmade painted leather patch, taken off an old leather flying jacket. It is the image of a skull with lightening bolts. Patch size: W 6 1/2" x 4" approx. They deployed to North Africa in October 1942, and started combat missions with the USAAF Twelfth Air Force in January 1943.
