Widely known as the Stearman, Boeing-Stearman or Kaydet, it served as a primary trainer for the USAAF, as a basic trainer for the USN and as the Kaydet for the RCAF throughout WWII. In the immediate post-war years they became popular as crop dusters and sports planes. The lithograph was published by Air Age Publishing in 1985. The image is meticulously and expertly taken from an outstanding photograph by nationally recognized aviator, Budd Davisson. The pictured aircraft is owned and piloted by Hugh Moreland. This authentic "first-run" color art lithograph was printed from the original plates in 1985 on the highest quality paper. The piece has never been matted, framed, hung nor displayed, but has been properly stored and undisturbed since creation.
