This listing is for a U.S.S. Indianapolis, CA-35, small medallion. Approx 4 inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick. The circle in the middle of the back (picture 3) is threaded for a screw so that it may be mounted into a plaque or wood board. The medallion can be displayed on a plate stand (picture 1), but note that the plate stand shown is NOT included in this auction. Picture 2 shows a side view of the medallion. Picture 4 shows the large medallion at the top, and a small medallion mounted on a plaque board. This is simply to illustrate the size difference between the medallions, as the large medallion and the plaque board are not a part of this auction. The large medallion is also listed for sale. LARGE 6" medallion information: Some 50 medallions were produced in 1990. These medallions (mounted on a plaque) were presented to donors who contributed $5,000 or more towards the construction of the monument. What I am selling on ebay are the remaining (approximately 25) medallions that I never used. The mold for the medallions is long gone, and no more will ever be made. I currently have less than 20 large medallions left to sell. SMALL 4" medallion information: Some 600 medallions were produced in 1990. These medallions (mounted on a plaque) were presented to each survivor for the memorial dedication. In addition, donors who contributed $250 or more towards the construction of the monument also received a medallion & plaque. What I am selling on ebay are the remaining (approximately 75) medallions that I never used. The mold for the medallions is long gone, and no more will ever be made. I currently have less than 40 small medallions left to sell.
