Damaged SB2C Dive Bomber This is a nice reproduction of an original World War Two photo showing a badly damaged SB2C dive bomber of VB-15 on the USS Hornet (CV-12) after returning from a mission on 2 January 1944. It is a miracle this aircraft made it back, and an even bigger miracle the pilot was able to make a carrier landing with the control surfaces so chewed up! Great photo!
