This is a nice reproduction of an original World War Two photo showing a Bantam Reconnaissance Car, designated BRC-40, during US Army testing in 1941. However, Bantam did not have the production facilities to produce the numbers the Army needed in a hurry, so the Army provided the Bantam blueprints to Willys and Ford, who submitted their own vehicles based off the Bantam's design.
