US Navy Ace Butch O'Hare This is a nice reproduction of an original World War Two photo showing US Navy Ace "Butch" O'Hare in April, 1942. O'Hare became the Navy's first ace of WWII on February 20, 1942 when he downed 5 Japanese bombers. O'Hare was lost in November 1943 while attacking a group of Japanese torpedo bombers during a night time mission. Chicago's O'Hare airport is named for him. Great photo!
