Arctic, Mountain, Jungle and Assault rations and survival rations bit aviation and shipborad.This reproduction is from a smaller contractor Shellmar Chocolate Co. Reproduction copied from original wrapper. Late war wrapped component type D-Bars are rare and not having been reproduced before are unknown to most of the main stream living historians who are familiar with the commonly reproduced four ounce D-Bar box and assume that this is the only type of packaging, but rarely with the two ounce box or the "component type wrapped D-Bars found in the larger rations. Original four ounce D-Bars are not common but they have survived in enough numbers due to the superior packaging but without a doubt where not the only method of delivery! Does not contain any food product. This type of D-Bar was retained after WWII and saw service in the Korean war.
